WordPress Migration Services
WordPress migration is a technical change to an existing CMS. The page builder, host, domain, URL structure, theme, plugins or site network may change, but the project still needs an inventory, decision record, testing plan and rollback position.

Migrate WordPress without losing control
A WordPress website may need to change its page builder, hosting, domain or URL structure without replacing the CMS. We plan and execute WordPress migrations with a complete content and URL inventory, redirect mapping, controlled cutover and post-launch verification. The work protects content, search visibility and production access while the underlying WordPress setup changes.
Migration work in practice
Staging first
WordPress-to-WordPress technical migration
A controlled cutover
The source remains available while staging is tested and the production release is prepared.
Content, URLs, access and production control remain visible throughout the move.
The target is agreed before migration begins, including what will be converted, rebuilt or retired.
01
Common WordPress migration projects
The target state decides the work
01
The page builder needs to change
04
Several WordPress properties need consolidation
03
The domain or URL structure is changing
02
The host or server needs to change
A WordPress migration can be delivered alongside an appointed development team, with the inventory, testing record and cutover controls kept separate from build work.
02
When to engage us
What survives, what is rebuilt and what it costs
Convert WPBakery, Visual Composer, Elementor, Divi or another builder while reviewing templates and responsive behaviour.
Hosting migration
Move the installation, database, media, cron jobs, email, caching and operational controls to a new host or server.
Domain and URL change
Change domains, directories or information architecture with a complete URL map and redirect plan.
Content decisions
Consolidate or separate properties while reviewing users, content ownership, domains, templates and integrations.
Multisite consolidation
03
A controlled technical change
The source and target remain comparable
Record what is migrated, converted, rebuilt, consolidated or retired.
Builder conversion
URL and redirect map
Map old addresses to relevant destinations and test the redirect rules before launch.
Staging verification
Test templates, forms, integrations, access, content and responsive behaviour before production.
Content, URLs and production access remain part of the migration record.

04
Process
A WordPress migration process with decisions in order
01
Record content, media, users, plugins, templates, URLs, redirects, integrations and important journeys.
Crawl and inventory
04
Cut over and monitor
Release through a controlled window, verify production journeys and monitor errors, indexation and performance.
03
Build and test in staging
Migrate or rebuild the agreed scope, then test templates, content, forms, integrations, redirects and access.
02
Plan the target state
Agree the builder, host, domain, URL structure, content decisions, testing scope and rollback controls.
The scope is priced after the source and target are understood. Builder conversion, hosting migration, domain change and multisite consolidation do not carry the same risk.
Deliverables
WordPress migration deliverables
05
Content, media, users, URLs, metadata and integrations are inventoried separately.
Content and media
Document the release window, rollback position, verification checks and post-launch findings.
Builder and templates
Some content can be migrated directly. Other content needs rebuilding because the builder, template system or content model has changed.
WordPress migration does not automatically include a redesign, new development, server management or SEO strategy. Those scopes are separated where they require different work.

Common questions
WordPress Migration Services FAQs
Can you migrate WPBakery to Gutenberg or Elementor?
Yes. The target builder determines how much content can be converted and how much needs a template or component rebuild.
Will my URLs and search visibility remain?
They can be protected with an inventory, one-to-one redirect plan, staging checks and post-launch verification. The risk depends on the proposed change and source data.
Do you provide hosting migration only?
Yes, where the scope is a WordPress-to-WordPress move. Application changes, redesign, server management and SEO protection are separated when they require different work.
Can you migrate a multisite?
Yes. We review users, content ownership, domains, templates, integrations and search-facing URLs before deciding whether to consolidate or separate the properties.
